CR7's glory days are most likely behind him, so what does that mean for the FC 24 Ronaldo rating, and is the iconic striker in line for a downgrade?

What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s FC 24 rating? With his somewhat controversial move to the Saudi League, a lot of fans are eager to see what the FC 24 Ronaldo rating is going to end up as. There’s no question that CR7 still has the flair and ability he is known and loved for, but he has seen a decline in recent times with his stats also taking a hit. Moreover, with many regarding the Saudi Pro League as a ‘less competitive’ league in comparison to those in Europe, and the fact Cristiano isn’t scoring a hattrick every match, there’s an argument that he just doesn’t have that edge anymore.

In addition to this, contrary to Messi’s efforts in the World Cup, Ronaldo’s Portugal only made it to the quarter finals, with his individual performances not quite being up to scratch. He scored only once with no assists to his name. Yes, he didn’t have as many minutes as he would’ve liked to get the job done, but unfortunately he didn’t deliver with what he did have. So will he be right up there as one of the best FC 24 strikers, or will he slide down the FC 24 ratings? With the Saudi Pro League ratings now officially confirmed, here is the FC 24 Ronaldo rating ahead of the FC 24 release date.

Ronaldo FC 24 rating

As confirmed by EA Sports, the Cristiano Ronaldo FC 24 rating is 86 overall, which represents a staggering -4 downgrade compared to last year’s game. This is the first time Ronaldo has been down in the 80s since getting an 89 overall card in FIFA 11.

FC 24 Ronaldo rating: Ronaldo confirmed rating

For the first time in FIFA history, we don’t expect to see Ronnie making it into many Ultimate Team squads – the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could even be used as SBC fodder to further rub salt in the wounds.

After a disastrous spell at Man United last year, Ronaldo did manage to find his footing in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr, netting 14 times in 16 games. So far this season he’s already notched up six goals in four appearances, while still managing to get on the scoresheet plenty for Portugal in the Euro qualifiers.

Ronaldo FC 24 stats

Ronaldo’s FC 24 stats reflect his rapid decline from the upper-echelons of the soccer world – he is 38 to be fair to him. Despite this, he remains in ridiculous shape, perhaps reflecting the tiny decline in his physical attribute, as you’ll see below.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s FC 24 stats are:

  • Pace – 77 (-4)
  • Shooting – 88 (-4)
  • Passing – 75 (-3)
  • Dribbling – 80 (-5)
  • Defending – 34
  • Physical – 74 (-1)

As you can see, Ronaldo’s FC 24 stats are substantially worse than they were in last year’s game. With his once-stellar dribbling taking the biggest hit, he’s going to have a hard time progressing the ball through the final third.

Perhaps the most-significant downgrade is to his shooting stat, though at 88 it does still keep him on par with the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema. While not as elite as Erling Haaland, he’ll certainly do the job in front of goal, though you’ll have to carefully consider your FC 24 formation when opting to add him in.

While the FC 24 Ronaldo rating and stats have now been officially confirmed, below you can find The Loadout’s early predictions – as you’ll see, while we expected a dramatic downgrade for the Portuguese star, we didn’t anticipate it being that dramatic!

FC 24 Ronaldo rating prediction

We expect the Cristiano Ronaldo FC 24 rating to be 87, which is a -3 downgrade compared to his previous overall rating. While it would likely still land him a spot in the top 100 players, we predict there will be several forwards with higher ratings in FC 24.

Since the start of the Ultimate Team era in FIFA 10, Ronaldo only once was rated below 90 – that being in FIFA 11, when he was an 89-rated right-winger. Ever since then (that’s 12 consecutive games) he’s been rated above 90, but we think that streak will end in FC 24.

As previously mentioned, he certainly hasn’t been firing on all cylinders for both club and country. At the start of the 22/23 season, he definitely wasn’t Erik Ten Hag’s favorite person, departing Manchester United for Al Nassr in December after various issues.

After the move, he did see a run of form scoring 14 goals in 16 games in the Saudi League, which isn’t a ratio to shrug off. Playing devil’s advocate though, if he were in Europe, or even the Premier League still, would he have scored this many? That’s a question we won’t get an answer to, but definitely something to think about when looking solely at stats.

FC 24 Ronaldo stats prediction

As we’ve already stated, we believe Ronaldo is going to be struck with a large downgrade in FC 24. So what does that mean for his individual stats? Well, while there aren’t any confirmed right now, we think it’s probably multiple drops across the board, with some of these more affected than others.

Looking initially at Pace, even though this already took a sizable hit with the transition from FIFA 22 to 23, this will likely see a downgrade once more in FC 24. We’ll be hedging our bets on a downgrade of -2 here, taking him to 79. Long gone are the days of blazing past defenders, unfortunately.

Moving to Shooting and Dribbling, key stats for a player of his ilk, again expect downgrades. Shooting will likely take a hit of -3, taking it to 89, and Dribbling receiving a similar fate moving from 85 to 83. While he has been scoring for Al Nassr, it’s simply not enough based on the number of shots taken and the ability to get past players with those once quick feet. However, we expect him to remain as an FC 24 5 star skiller.

We anticipate Passing to also follow suit with a -2 downgrade, equaling 76, and Physicality likely being the biggest drop of all, going from 75 to 71. While this could seem harsh, let’s not forget that he is 38 years of age, and that comes with its struggles in today’s game – even if you’re built like CR7.

Finally, his weakest stat – Defending. Even though he doesn’t do much of it anyway, this will probably still take a hit of -2, down to 32 overall.

All in all, the FC 24 Cristiano Ronaldo rating is one that will be putting frowns on the faces of die hard CR7 fans. But, considering his age and his overall performance last season, it should be somewhat expected. Regardless of Ronaldo’s stats, there are some incredible innovations being made for the start of the EA FC era, probably making FC 24 one of the best sports games to come out of EA Sports for a while. See you out on the pitch.
