There are some incredibly powerful Ashes of War in Elden Ring. Take the monstrous Night-and-Flame Stance as part of the Sword of Night and Flame build, for example. However, while the numbers put up by the game’s heaviest hitters is impressive, there are a myriad of ways to take these mighty weapon arts to the next level. For this, you’ll want to know the Elden Ring Royal Knight’s Resolve location.

When used, the Royal Knight’s Resolve Ash of War dramatically increases the damage of your next attack by 80%. Needless to say, it’s just a little bit potent, and will massively improve your one-shot potential. In fact, speedrunners have been using it to juice up the Hoarfrost Stomp Ash of War, as demonstrated in Distortion2’s world first sub-30 minute Elden Ring speedrun.

Now we’ve established why you’re going to want to slap this Ash of War on one of your spare weapons, the question remains: where do you get Royal Knight’s Resolve in Elden Ring? Fortunately, you’ve come to the right place. Read on to find out where you can plunder this spicy buff for yourself.

Elden Ring Royal Knight’s Resolve location

The Elden Ring Royal Knight’s Resolve location is in Volcano Manor, Mt. Gelmir.

First of all, you’ll want to have reached the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace, which is unlocked after defeating the Godskin Noble boss. From there, head up the small lift in the temple, and out onto the balcony.

As you make your way around the balcony, you’ll see terrain that you can hop over the balcony and down onto. Head up and around to the right, before dropping down onto another stretch of terrain that leads upwards to a huge magma pool.

Head directly across the pool to the northwest, taking extra care to dodge the Abductor Virgin that will appear as you make your way round. After bypassing the dangerous enemy, there’ll be a window for you to hop into, with a door to open opposite it.

Run forward past the lizardman and up the stairs to the right, leading to a long stretch populated by more lizardmen. Make your way to the end of the stretch, and into another room with a closed door. Open it, and make your way up the first flight of stairs, before pulling a 180 and heading up the second set behind you.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll find an Imp Statue requiring two Stonesword Keys to unlock. After carefully jumping down the cages in this area, head northeast into the room with the fireplace. The Royal Knight’s Resolve Ash of War can be found on top of a body next to the fireplace. With this new power now in-hand, all you have to do is apply it to one of your weapons back at Roundtable Hold.
