Call of Duty Warzone, somehow, is only getting better with the Season 4 update. Dubbed Mercenaries of Fortune, players jumping into Warzone from the Season 4 release date will be able to check out a handful of new weapons, new operators, and several POI changes across Caldera. The battle royale is also getting a brand new map, Fortune’s Keep and you’ll be pleased to know that it isn’t going to replace Rebirth Island.
Yes, set aside your concerns Rebirth Island faithful, this smaller Resurgance map isn’t going anywhere. According to the Call of Duty Blog, “Fortune’s Keep, Rebirth Island, and Caldera coexist” during Season 4. All three maps will be “free via regular weekly playlist rotation”, which is hardly a bad thing.
But, what does this mean? Well, it means that while Rebirth Island isn’t going to be constantly available throughout Warzone’s Season 4, it will be available in regular intervals and should provide players with oppourtunity to check out Caldera and Fortune’s Keep without the fear of missing out on sweet Rebirth Island action.
Explaining the decision to move Rebirth Island to a rotating playlist, the Call of Duty blog offers players the following:
” For Operators wishing to drop into Rebirth Island, contact appears to have been temporarily lost at that theater of combat. However, expect reestablishment of communications, and access to this location shortly. Stand by for weekly playlist updates to curate experiences across the trio of playable maps – the brand-new Fortune’s Keep locale, Rebirth Island, and Caldera – as the season gets under way.”
