Warzone update sees more Buy Stations spring up in Fortune’s Keep

Running around Fortune’s Keep with cash burning a hole in your pocket? Well, Raven Software has just addressed the Buy Station issue on Warzone’s newest map

Fortune’s Keep, the newest Call of Duty Warzone map to be introduced to the battle royale shooter, has been out for a little while now and players have had plenty of time to get used to the different pacing this environment has to offer. Of course, it isn’t going to have a direct impact on the Warzone meta, but there are different strategies to employ while playing in this unique location. One thing players have been critical of, though, surprisingly, is having somewhere to spend your cash. Thankfully, Raven Software has heard players’ complaints and introduced a minor Warzone update to Fortune’s Keep that actually increases the number of Buy Stations.

What does this mean? Well, it means that from now on, there should always be at least 13 Buy Stations available on Fortune’s Keep in each game – not ten. To put this into some sort of perspective, rather than just an abstract number of Buy Stations, players have been used to dealing with around 11 Buy Stations on Rebirth Island and around 50 on larger maps like Caldera and the now-destroyed Verdansk.

So, with Fortune’s keep being marginally larger than Rebirth Island, having a couple of extra Buy Stations to pick up UAVs from seems right on the money – pun wholly intended.

The minor update that introduces an increased Buy Station count on Fortune’s Keep comes just days after the introduction of Fortune’s Keep Extreme – an intense, limited-time playlist that features 60-player lobbies on the brand new map.

At the moment, there’s no telling as to whether the increased number of Buy Stations was made in response to the chaos an increased player count would ultimately bring – or, if this change was always coming irregardless of the new limited-time mode. For now, we’ll just have to speculate. One thing we know for sure, though, is that this is going to be a huge quality of life improvement for players dropping onto Fortune’s Keep. More options is never a bad thing, right?
