MG 82 Warzone loadout – best attachments, perks, and equipment

Check out the best Warzone MG 82 build and loadout for this heavy-weight LMG.

Warzone's new operator, wearing a menacing red mask, wielding the MG 82 light machine gun

You can no longer get or use the MG 82 in Warzone because this version of the game was shut down. However, this guide will be updated and will be useful if the MG 82 returns.

After quite a long period without a new LMG in sight, Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 4 brought players a brand new one: the MG 82. To make matters even better, the MG 82 stayed competitive long after it was added.

The MG 82 boasted the fastest rate of fire in the entire LMG class at the time, had very little recoil, and also came with the expected enormous magazine. It was a very different animal compared to its cousins like the PKM, the Bruen, or the Stoner. The best MG 82 class boosted its strengths while also addressing some of its weaknesses in Warzone meta.

Unfortunately, the MG 82 is no longer available in Warzone ever since Black Ops Cold War integration was discontinued. Nevertheless, here was how we kitted it out in one of the best battle royale games.

MG 82 Warzone loadout

The best Warzone MG 82 build was:

  • 16.4″ Task Force
  • Axial Arms 3x
  • Field Agent Grip
  • 125 Rnd Speed Mag
  • Serpent Wrap

This was one of the best builds for the MG 82 we used in Warzone, toppling the competition with a hail of bullets. Not only did it boost range and bullet velocity with the Suppressor and Task Force barrel, but the Serpent Wrap rear grip also boosted its ADS time. to make up for its general sluggishness.

While you could have gone for the bigger 150-round magazines, the 125-Round Speed Mag was our choice. This gun burned through bullets so quickly that you were almost guaranteed to be reloading when facing a trio or quad team, and the reload time was way too slow with the 150-round magazine attached.

Being a weapon suited for long-range, you were best off partnering the MG 82 with something that could deal with enemies up close. We recommended the MP5 in our best MP5 Warzone loadout guide.

For your perks, you wanted Double Time, Overkill, and Amped – the holy trinity once more. In the equipment department, the Heartbeat Sensor and Throwing Knives worked wonders. Throwing Knives were important here, as you didn’t want to be wasting any bullets with this thing when trying to finish off downed enemies, as you would be risking having to reload with more enemies hot on your tail. Throwing Knives could send them to Gulag in a blink, and save your bullets for actual gunfights.

The MG 82 was one of the best Warzone guns, so it’s a shame that we can’t bring it into the battlefield anymore – though never say never.
