After quite a long period without one, Warzone Season 4 brings players a brand new LMG: the MG 82.
The MG 82 boasts the fastest rate of fire in the entire LMG class, has very little recoil, and also comes with the expected enormous magazine. It makes it a very different animal compared to its cousins like the PKM, the Bruen, or the Stoner. The best MG 82 class will aim to boost its strengths while also addressing some of its weaknesses, such as mobility and damage range. As a result, there will be a couple of attachment combinations that will be superior to all others.
So will the best MG 82 build make a big dent in the current Warzone meta? There’s a good chance that it will, as its description makes it sound closer to an assault rifle with a big magazine than a traditional, sluggish LMG. This means it could join the likes of AK-47, AMAX, and Kilo as the top long-range slayers in the game.
Here’s what the best MG 82 Warzone loadout looks like.
Best MG 82 Warzone loadout
- 16.4″ Task Force
- Axial Arms 3x
- 125 Rnd Speed Mag
- Serpent Wrap
This is one of the best builds for the MG 82 we’ve found so far in Warzone Season 4. Not only does it boost range and bullet velocity with the Suppressor and Task Force barrel, the Serpent Wrap rear grip also boosts its ADS time.
While you could go for the bigger 150-round magazines, YouTuber ‘BennyCentral’ actually advises using the 125 Rnd Speed Mag. This gun burns through bullets so fast, you’re almost guaranteed to be reloading when facing a trio or quad team, and the reload time is way too slow with the 150-round magazines attached.
Being a weapon suited for long range, you’ll want to partner the MG 82 with something that can deal with enemies up close. Try the MP5 builds in our best MP5 Warzone loadout guide – they should fit the bill nicely.
For your perks, you’ll be wanting Double Time, Overkill, and Amped. In the equipment department, you’ll want a Heartbeat Sensor and Throwing Knives. Throwing Knives are important here, as you don’t want to be wasting any bullets with this thing when trying to finish off downed enemies. Throwing Knives can send them to Gulag in a blink, and save your bullets for actual gunfights.
Can this really rival Warzone’s best assault rifles in the long-range meta? Right now, it looks like it can. Admittedly, your mobility is not that great, but boy does this thing melt when you lock on to an enemy.
