Call of Duty Warzone 2 is no stranger to pesky bugs and glaring glitches. Though some are easily patched out of Modern Warfare 2, a peculiar issue with ultimate perks in the latest COD entry has persisted since late 2022. Now, as Warzone Season 2 approaches, developer Raven Software is finally tackling the perk problem.
Surviving in Warzone 2 is tough, even if you’re using the best Warzone 2 meta loadouts. The next-gen iteration of the COD battle royale has seen players unfairly killed due to the ultimate perk High Alert failing to respond correctly. If you’ve never used the perk with your best Warzone 2 guns, High Alert displays a visible hint when enemies netting their sights on you. However, the popular perk has been out of action.
The issue was originally addressed on December 15, 2022, and now, the devs have rectified the problem, according to the official Warzone 2 Trello bar.
Despite solving the strange bug, prominent Warzone 2 pro players such as Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad and Dante ‘FaZe’ Santana have been vocal with their frustrations towards the current battle royale experience. “A month and a half L,” says FaZe Santana regarding the dev’s response time.
Aydan expresses his issues with more detail, adding: “Why does it take 1 1/2 months to fix an issue with a major part of the game?” The New York Subliners content creator claims that Warzone 2 feels like it “is still in beta.”
Warzone 2 continues to see a myriad of bugs hinder matches, but at least you’ll be able to get a heads-up on your opponent going forward. It’ll especially become useful as we approach the Warzone Season 2 release date. Before then though, we recommend all Warzone 2 DMZ key locations to net yourself some tasty XP and rewards.
