Nintendo is not renowned for dropping its prices, so if, like many fans, you want to make sure that you don’t miss the best Cyber Monday Nintendo Switch deals this year, you’ve come to the right place. For your convenience, we’ll pick out the best Nintendo deals from various retailers and list them all together here.
Nintendo has had a number of major releases lately (from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 through to Kirby and the Forgotten Land) and when you look at its back catalogue, there are so many classics (Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, to name just a few). Since many of these games, even the ones that are five years old, still cost the same price as they did when they came out, Black Friday is a good opportunity for Nintendo fans to grab the ones they missed.
Of course, this could also be a good time to buy a Nintendo Switch for the first time. The console is renowned for having an enormous library of games, and whether its exclusively new releases, or historic titles receiving a rerelease, that library is expanding all the time. As with all consoles, the Switch isn’t cheap, so we’ll be listing any discounts on both the standard Switch and the Switch Lite.
Anyway, here are a few of the Cyber Monday deals:
Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 bundle
Currently you can snap up a Neon Nintendo Switch bundle (red and blue) with Mario Kart 8 and three months worth of Nintendo Switch Online membership for just $299.99 at Walmart. Sadly there doesn’t seem to be a similar deal from any UK retailers.
The Nintendo Switch rarely goes on sale, so if you’re looking to upgrade, get in quick.
Nintendo Switch Lite
You can now pick up a Nintendo Switch Lite console for $179/ £199.
The console comes in a variety of colours, but stock at a lot of retailers is running out fast due to Black Friday deals.
Sonic Frontiers
It hasn’t been out for long, but some retailers are already offering discounts on Sonic Frontiers.
Right now, you can grab Sonic Frontiers for just $39 from GameStop if you’re in the US. We’ll update this if we see a great deal for UK readers too.
Nintendo Switch Sports
The hit game, Nintendo Switch Sports, is currently on sale, with 10% off on Amazon.
If you don’t have Switch Sports yet, then what are you waiting for? A reimagining of Wii Sports – an institution for a certain generation of gamer – Switch Sports brings the best of the old game, with a few juicy extras.
These bundles also include a strap for your controller, so you don’t yeet a controller into a light fitting like this weary writer once did.
Metroid Dread amiibo two-pack
The Metroid Dread amiibo two-pack is currently available at $24.99 (10% off) from Amazon. (Unfortunately, no equivalent deal is available in the UK.)
Fans of the latest Metroid game may be interested in getting their hands on the Metroid Dread amiib0 two-pack. It comes with two beautifully crafted figures, one of Samus as she appears in the game, and one of E.M.M.I the sinister robot that hunts her down throughout the game.
As with all amiibo, these aren’t just stylish figures. As well as being great collectables, they also unlock neat in-game bonuses when scanned. These particular amiibo can unlock you a new energy tank (to increase your overall health capacity) as well as giving you a daily dose of supplies to help Samus on her adventure. Considering how some amiibo’s prices skyrocket exponentially, it could be a good idea to grab these while they’re on offer.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Multiplatform Gaming Headset
The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Multiplatform Gaming Headset is currently $99.95 USD ($30.04 off) or £99.99 GBP on Amazon.
Sometimes you just want to drown at the stresses of the world and listen to nothing but Mario’s yipees and wahoos, or the primal grunts of the bestial icon, Donkey Kong. Some people appreciate game soundtracks as well. The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Multiplatform Gaming Headset is an ideal choice if you’re after a Switch headset.
This may be particularly appealing to anybody who likes to play on the bus or in other public places, where your only other options are to play in silence (rubbish) or to irritate all the other people around you. Before long, you’ll be bringing it with you everywhere you go.
