A Plague Tale Requiem‘s equipment and gear is incredibly valuable on your journey to understand the origins of the Macula. But, as you make your way through the game you will need to get some of the best upgrades for your weapons, gear, and tools. That can only be done by using workbenches. So to ensure you can upgrade your gear as much as you can, you can find all the A Plague Tale Requiem workbench locations in this article.
A Plague Tale Requiem workbench locations
A Plague Tale Requiem has dozens of workbench locations scattered out across the game’s chapters. There are more than enough for you to upgrade your gear, but the exact amount of workbench locations in each chapter is as follows:
- Chapter 3 – two workbench locations
- Chapter 4 – three workbench locations
- Chapter 5 – one workbench location
- Chapter 6 – two workbench locations
- Chapter 7 – three workbench locations
- Chapter 8 – two workbench locations
- Chapter 9 – six workbench locations
- Chapter 10 – three workbench locations
- Chapter 11 – two workbench locations
- Chapter 13 – two workbench locations
- Chapter 16 – one workbench location

Chapter 3 – A Burden of Blood workbench locations
While exploring outside, you will head down to small outbuildings outside the main city. As you pass by, you will see the workbench next to the forge.
The second workbench can be found once Amicia and Lucas get to the warehouse with the ballista. This workbench is actually one of the secret chest locations. But, you can grab the knife nearby and open it to access the workbench.
Chapter 4 – Protector’s Duty workbench locations
The next workbench can be found early on in the chapter when Amicia and Lucas need to push the cart with the brazier on it. Before heading to the right towards the docks, turn it to the left to find a ladder, leading up to a locked chest and the workbench.
After working with the soldier get across the rafters with the rats beneath you, head through the door to progress and you can find another workbench in here.
The final workbench in this chapter can be found after you pass all the enemies in the forest and cross the drawbridge. Once going through the door, you can find the workbench in front of you.
Chapter 5 – In Our Wake Workbench Locations
While trying to make your way back to the boat with your mother, Lucas, and Hugo on it, you will be able to go all the way along the wooden raised platform, towards where the large bridge is. Just at the end of the platform, you can find the workbench.
Chapter 6 – Leaving All Behind workbench locations
After sneaking out of the village and falling down the cliff, you will be able to head down a slope and see a small supply spot in the right corner with a cart. Head over to it to find the workbench.
After making your way across the large group of rats using Tar and Hugo’s rat control powers, walk past all the enemies you kill and use the door in the corner to progress. In here, you can find a workbench.
Chapter 7 – Felons workbench locations
After you get out of the initial caves with Arnaud, you will jump down to the beach. Just ahead of you there will be a workbench in a shipwreck.
Once you get past the next set of enemies who are patrolling around several destroyed boats, you will reach a small gap you can squeeze through. Before you do that, look to your right to find a gap you can crouch under. Behind here, you can find the next workbench, which is a secret chest.
Much later in the chapter, after you save Sophia’s life, you can find a workbench in the room where the cutscene ends.
Chapter 8 – A Sea Of Promises workbench locations
While exploring the village, you will find a small side pathway on the left that leads down to a well and a game where you can throw pots to grab one of the souvenir locations. Also down here, you can find a workbench.
After Arnaud ends up getting separated from you and you go after the count, you will pass an encounter with a bird and head through some stables. Once climbing over a piece of wood in the stables, look to your right to find a cow, as well as a workbench.
Chapter 9 – Tales and Revelations workbench locations
As you make your way down from the courtyard, you will see a house with two people working in the garden. It also has a flagpole by it. Head up to the garden and look by the workers on the left to find the workbench.
At the bottom of the large open area on the cliff, you will find a large shed. Climb up the ladder and shoot the chain off the door using the window. This will allow you to head inside through the main door and find the workbench.
Now, make your way to the market stalls near the large tower that leads down to the village. Next to one of the stalls, you can find a workbench.
From there, cross the stone footbridge and look to your left to find a small brick tower. Use the window at the back to destroy the chain on the door inside and then head up to the top. Up here, you can find a workbench as a secret chest.
The next workbench is quite a way past the last one. After you head up to the mural you see, you will come across a large number of enemies. Once going through the door and locking it, you can find a workbench just to your left.
Quite a bit further on, you will pass another large group of enemies, and climb up a set of stairs to reach the door, which is in a circular tower. Just as you go through the door, you can find the workbench at the bottom of the stairs.
Chapter 10 – Bloodline workbench locations
On your way to the fort, you will come across a stony path after heading into the building and bringing down the door with your crossbow. On your right, as you head down this path, you can find a workbench.
Much later on, after Sophia saves your life and you calm Hugo down you can find a workbench in the same room you were attacked.
After you sneak onto the cart and it crashes amongst a sea of rats, Sophia will join you. You will be able to use her prism to create an area of light around you. Just past the first fire, you can see a doorway with a balcony. Up here is the Secret Chest with the workbench. But, first walk onward just past the rubble and you will see a pile of sticks. Use Sophia’s Prism to get there, grab a stick, and then head back to the previous fire. Light the stick on fire with this bonfire opposite the doorways and then walk through the doorway to get to safety and reach the chest up on the balcony.
Chapter 11 – The Cradle of Centuries workbench locations
When down, exploring the temple underneath the earth, you will use the Greek Fire for the first time. After blowing up the first gate, look to your left to find a workbench.
After Amicia drops down to the bottom of the large temple, you will cross some rats and climb up to the upper side of the room with some chains you can squeeze through. This is on the edge of the room, in a long corridor. Just by the chest on your right, you will see the Secret Chest behind a rats nest. Well, just next to you is a chain you can break with your sling. After breaking it, squeeze through and then look to your left to find another chain you can squeeze through and the chest you just saw with a workbench.
Chapter 13 – Nothing Left workbench locations
Early on in the chapter, when walking through the tunnels, you will see the workbench on your right, just before going up a small set of stairs.
As you continue making your way forward in the chapter, you will eventually get back outside and see a set of wooden beams with plants growing on them, and a small window to the right. Climb through that window to find the workbench.
Chapter 16 – King Hugo workbench locations
The last workbench in the game can be found right at the beginning of the chapter. As soon as the cutscene ends, walk forward and into the building ahead of you to find the workbench.
