After being announced at last year’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, A Plague Tale Requiem has showcased a new trailer at this year’s show. Set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, the rat-filled action-adventure is continuing to look like a major step up from 2019’s A Plague Tale Innocence.
The new trailer focuses on the game’s story and the Macula that Hugo carries within him. We get a look at some beautiful new locations and the visual step-up that the game has seen since the original released all the way back in 2019.
Enhanced animations and stealth, like being able to crawl underneath tables and enemies pulling Amicia out from stealth and attacking her. Overall the game is looking like a major step up and the new trailer is the best look at the game we have seen yet.

Ahead of the A Plague Tale Requiem release date, Asobo has been fairly quiet about the ambitious sequel. However, on June 10, they did unveil another look at the game at the Tribeca Games Showcase. Here they confirmed that the gameplay of A Plague Tale Requiem will still be stealth-focused despite improved animations for the more visceral combat moments.
The game will hit Game Pass at launch and if you are looking for something to tie you over until then, check out the currently available Xbox Game Pass games on the service.
