Xenoblade Chronicles 3 reviews suggest Switch has its own Elden Ring

The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 reviews are here and the game has been met with high praise suggesting Switch has its own giant RPG this year, like Elden Ring

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Reviews Roundup: Six protagonists can be seen looking at the landscape

After some exceptionally positive previews, reviews for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are even better citing it as one of the best games in recent years for the Nintendo Switch and a step up for the JRPG series. The roundup of reviews for the game from outlets even elicits comparisons to Elden Ring, giving Switch its own gigantic RPG and GOTY contender that plays by its own rules.

Our sister site, Pocket Tactics, had extremely high praise for the game saying that “it’s the perfect videogame.. it takes everything that makes the series special and turns it up louder”. Ben Johnson who reviewed it for the website highlighted that each new entry in the series gets more of an identity and carves out its own place on Nintendo’s console and that is even more the case with Xenoblade Chronicles 3, according to him.

But, while the expansive and vast gameplay and map in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is much like previous games, Monolith Soft has really managed to make it “feel more approachable than ever”, according to their review.

That is some high praise, especially from a fan of the franchise, but the high scores are almost across the board from a range of outlets. You can checkout some of the reviews for the RPG below:
