Far Cry 5 will be the latest time-sapping open-world adventure to hit Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, with Ubisoft’s bombastic take on the rural west of the United States being the first game from the iconic series to be added to the service.
On July 1, Far Cry 5 will be added to the already massive Game Pass library for subscribers, which is certainly a good start to the month. While maybe not the most revered Far Cry game, you’ve still got dozens of hours of content to plough through. As well as Far Cry 5 hitting the console and PC libraries for Game Pass, it will also have Cloud support, so you can play from anywhere you like.
Alongside the announcement that Far Cry 5 will be added to Game Pass, the remaining games to be added for the rest of June were also confirmed by Xbox. FIFA 22 will be hitting the service, and as was confirmed during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase during Summer Game Fest, battle royale Naraka Bladepoint will make its console debut when it hits Game Pass on June 23.
As you’re reading this, Shadowrun Trilogy has also just been added to the console and Cloud libraries, and Total War: Three Kingdoms is now on PC Game Pass.
For mobile gamers, touch control support has also been added to ten new titles, including Bugsnax and Life Is Strange True Colors.

At the end of June, four games are getting booted off of Game Pass, so go and sink some final hours into Jurassic World Evolution, FIFA 20, Moto GP20, or Last Stop if you’re a particularly big fan of any of those titles.
With Far Cry 5 now confirmed for next month, the Xbox Game Pass July free games lineup is starting off strong already. We also know that throughout July, the likes of As Dusk Falls and Matchpoint: Tennis Championships will also be hitting the subscription service.
