Valorant org Gen.G is after new VCT talent and it could be you

If you reckon you've got what it takes to compete in the VCT Pacific League, then esports organization Gen.G is looking for new Valorant talent to recruit.

Valorant Gen G Player Recruitment

With a mighty resume of top 5 finishes and even mightier talent on the team, esports organization Gen.G is on the hunt for some fresh blood to join its ranks. The Valorant ace is opening up the floodgates, though, as you can try to secure a spot on the team. Competition will be tough, but recruitment is now ongoing ahead of the VCT Pacific League 2024.

Think you’re good enough for the Valorant Champions Pacific League? Applications are now open. Show us what you’re cookin,” a new post on the organization’s social media reads. However, you’ll need to meet some sturdy requirements, if you’re thinking of applying. The recruitment pool, which is still ongoing, is specifically after players from the “Valorant APAC (Asian-Pacific Region).”

The winning applicant will end up traveling across the world – provided Gen.G qualifies for LAN events – living in a team house and, of course, playing one of the best FPS games around in a high-stakes setting. The recruitment process is split into four different areas, which are:

  1. Application submission
  2. Application review
  3. Online/Offline trial and interview
  4. Selection notice

Gen.G notes that “unselected applicants will not be receiving a separate notice” regarding their application status. Applications are required to be submitted to ‘[email protected]’.

Following the launch of the recruitment period, Gen.G also welcomed a new head coach. “We found our head chef for 2024 Gen.G Valorant. Please welcome Coach Kim ‘hsk’ Haeseong,” the organization confirms. CSGO players will be familiar with HSK’s prowess in the arena, playing for MVP PK and GOSU during his fruitful Counter-Strike stint. After retiring from competitive CSGO, HSK joined Japanese organization DetonatioN Gaming White in December 2021, to get involved in the Valorant scene.

Commenting on the process of hiring new talent, former coach Chris ‘Elmapuddy’ Tebbit says that “Gen.G did the same thing last season, trust me, my email inbox knew about that one. However, everyone we picked up was already scouted previous to this same announcement last season.” While Emapuddy isn’t with Gen.G anymore, he says that it “has smart people behind the scenes who will look at the applicants sent through here. Having said that, I’d expect the roster to have Korean talent who’s been around at least a season of ascension.”
