The Finals Twitch Drops give free festive items to Xbox and PS5 fans

The first of The Finals Twitch Drops are here for PS5 and Xbox players, as Embark Studios gifts free festive items to use in the arena.

The Finals Twitch Drops

Following the release of The Finals holiday update, developer Embark Studios is continuing its quest to spread festive cheer. You’ll have noticed that the game’s cosmetics are impeccable, with plenty of variety to choose from, no matter what aesthetic takes your fancy. Now, thanks to the arrival of The Finals Twitch Drops, you can add some more items in your wardrobe without spending a single dollar.

A surprise contender for the best FPS game of 2023, The Finals is rolling full steam ahead into the new year for PS5 and Xbox players. Releasing alongside The Finals holiday update, you can now head over to Twitch to nab yourself the first batch of The Finals Twitch Drops. The best part about this is that you choose from loads of streams, as Embark Studios confirms that “all The Finals streams with the [Twitch] Drops Enabled tag will count towards earning drops.”

If you aren’t sure where to view these streams, all you need to do is head over to The Finals Twitch page. Once you have watched enough of a qualifying Twitch stream, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that your Twitch Drops are eligible to claim. To add them to your in-game account, Embark Studios clarifies that “you will have to claim the reward within Twitch before the end of the Twitch Drops campaign.” Don’t worry, you can do this very easily by heading over to your Twitch Drops inventory.

As for the items you’ll earn for watching The Finals Twitch streams, here is what you can add to your arsenal:

  • x1 Gingerguard Barricade skin
  • x1 Pining for Xmas sticker
  • x1 Present Danger weapon charm

You’ll only earn one drop at the moment, but the start of this campaign means that more The Finals Twitch Drops are coming in the future. And we all love free cosmetics, after all. There is plenty of time to participate too, as this initial Twitch Drops runs from December 20, 2023, until January 3, 2023. Twitch does enforce a time-focused limitation on earning each part of the drop, so you won’t be able to get them all instantly. Twitch requires you to you fulfil these parameters:

  • Go to a participating live channel
  • Watch for 2 hours and claim the reward Pining For Xmas
  • Watch for 4 hours and claim the reward Present Danger
  • Watch for 6 hours and claim the reward Gingerguard

And of course, you need to ensure that your Embark ID is linked to your PS5 or Xbox account, while also checking that your Twitch account is also linked up too. That’s a lot of linking, but we assure you that it is worth the hassle.

We’ve been absolutely loving The Finals so far, but if you need a break from blowing up buildings, then you should check out The Loadout Awards 2023. There have been some amazing games this year, but only one can claim our Game of The Year crown.
