You should make the choice to go to the Shattered Moon in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. This will allow you to obtain the Crossguard stance for Cal, which is one of the best stances in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. The moon also isn’t too large, which means you can get through it pretty fast.
If you choose to go back to Koboh first, you will instead meet Caij Vanda, a bounty hunter who can give you bounties in exchange for a variety of upgrades for your blaster. While this is a nice addition, overall the Crossguard stance is way more effective, even with a BD-1 upgrade you also get at this time.
