Despite getting off to a rocky start, Volition’s Saints Row is still around and Deep Silver has just announced that a free Dead Island 2 crossover is going to kick off the open world action games’ 2023 content roadmap. However, the content that’s coming to Saints Row after is much more exciting.

If you’re someone who’s looking forward to dive head-first into HELL-A when the Dead Island 2 release date rolls around, you might want to pick up the free Dead Island 2 cosmetic pack; this will introduce cosmetics inspired by two Dead Island 2 characters alongside a new weapon, a new emote, and some new HQ decorations.

Beyond that, in May 2023, players can look forward to a free title update that introduces a new district, a combat overhaul, and photo mode, alongside “The Heist and the Hazardous” expansion. This DLC is going to introduce new story missions, in-game events, cosmetics, and more. You can purchase it seperately if you want, but it’s going to be better value for money if you pick up the Saints Row Expansion Pass.

Following on from this, a second free update in July 2023 is planning to introduce “new features” through a substantial quality of life update. Deep Sivler hasn’t shared anything more about this, but it will release alongside the “Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus” game mode. This is currently slated to be available to Expansion Pass owners, but things might change in the future.

Finally, in August 2023, another new district will be introduced alongside another quality of life update. This will be free to all players, so expect Saints Row to offer quite a lot to go back to over the next few months.

If you’re an Expansion Pass owner, though, a third unnamed expansion is coming in August 2023, too. This, like the aforementioned “The Heist and the Hazardous” expansion will introduce new story missions, cosmetics, and more.
