Now, we all know Blizzard isn’t exactly a popular entity with the Overwatch 2 player-base right now – for a number of reasons; however, the hero shooter’s developer does seem to be sticking to its’ promise of introducing more opportunities for players to earn free skins through Twitch’s “drops” feature. For example, through Twitch drops, it looks like Overwatch 2 players will be able to get a new skin – and a matching emote – ahead of the Lunar New Year event. If you want to know more about the latest Overwatch 2 Twitch drops, just keep reading.
First things first, let’s talk about the skin and the emote on offer. Ahead of an official announcement from Blizzard and the Overwatch 2 team, notable Overwatch leaker ‘Naeri‘ has revealed that the “Mask Dancer” skin for Moira and the matching “Lion Roars” victory pose cosmetic will be available in the next set of Overwatch 2 Twitch drops.
We know this isn’t a completely new skin, but it’s certainly worth gunning for if you don’t have it already. This is easily one of the support hero’s best event cosmetics – and it’s a good way to add some variety to your selection of skins if you find it’s lacking. This is one of the best free shooting games out there right now – and can become one of the best competitve FPS games again with the right series of updates. So, it’s good to see players get something for free when it comes to cosmetics.
In order to unlock the victory pose, players will need to watch two hours of Twitch in the Overwatch 2 channel. If you want the skin itself, you’re going to have to watch a total of four hours. At the moment, we don’t know if this is consecutive hours – or a culmination of hours watched during the Twitch drops’ period of availability. Those details should be available soon – when an official announcement is made.
If you’re looking forward to this next Overwatch 2 Twitch drops skin, you’ll be pleased to know that it should become available at around 04:00 PST / 07:00 EST / 12:00 GMT on January 12. This offer, as you’ll be able to see in the image above, is expected to be running until January 26.
Overwatch 2’s Lunar New Year event is expected to start next week, but official details on this are still unavailable.
