Overwatch 2 is in many ways an upgraded version of the original game and as Blizzard has been upgrading the shooter, it has made a lot of changes to the visual designs of all the heroes. So, you are probably wondering what are all the Overwatch 2 new looks and redesigns, especially for your main?
Well, a number of characters have also seen gameplay changes on top of their visual alterations, but the visual changes are more obvious. Some heroes have seen very little change, however, others have seen more dramatic changes, from colour palettes to costume changes and new pieces of armour they wear whilst fighting.
This article will cover the Overwatch 2 new looks and redesigns for all the heroes. Of course, this will only be their base designs as skins will change their looks even more.
Overwatch 2 new looks and redesigns
Below, you can find all the Overwatch 2 new looks and redesigns for every hero that has seen a major rework:
Baptise New Look And Redesign
Baptise has seen a pretty significant redesign. His orange scarf is now built into his armour and is white and more consistent with his overall design. The gun has also been made white, but his eyepiece retains the orange colour of his original design.
Bastion New Look And Redesign
Bastion has been made anew with a more polished framing and a brighter paintjob. He also now wears a hat, which is a major bonus!
Cassidy NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Cassiy’s cloak has been tech-ified with a new, modern design and markings. His armour and body are also more robotic looking.
Genji New Look And Redesign
Genji looks like he has a completely different origin in Overwatch 2. No longer showing off his cyborg body, Genji is wearing a pair of trousers and a large jacket, hiding his mechanical parts. However, the gree accents remain on some parts of his body.
Lucio NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Lucio has been spruced up pretty heavily in Overwatch 2 with far more green on his armour. On top of that, his lower half has been made more realistic and less robotic and his hair is now green.
Mei NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Mei has also seen a significant shift in design. Her winter coat is less furry and sleeker. Her boots have also been made more functional and her glove has seen some visual enhancements.
Mercy New Look And Redesign
Mercy’s bright golden highlights of her skin have been enhanced in her Overwatch 2 new look. She also has white boots this time around and a shorter hairstyle which offers a smaller halo above her head.
Pharah NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Pharah has had a more subtle change to her design. Her armour has been darkened a tad and her golden helmet is now more gold. Her lower half armour has also been made bleu and white, rather than purely blue.
Reaper New Look And Redesign
Reaper, again, has had a more subtle visual change. His cloak and clothes are now far darker and his shotgun shells aren’t as oversized.
Reinhardt new Look and Redesign
Reinhardt has had a significant change. The red accents are gone and replaced by the colour gold. On top of that, his chest piece now has a lion motif on it and his boots are square not pointed.
Sombra NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Sombra has also seen a pretty big change. Her coat is now more purple and her leggings blend the colours purple and blue better. The rest of her outfit now matches that colour shift and a circular sigil is shaved into her head.
Tracer new Look And Redesign
Tracer has seen a slimming of her design, integrating her core and armour better for speed. Her coat is also now a nicer grey, rather than brown. Her leggings have also been brightened to a warmer orange.
Trobjorn NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Trobjorn looks as if he has travelled back in time with a much younger look. His beard is now less blonde and more of a light blonde shifting into a brown. His armour has also seen a significant change.
Widowmaker New Look And Redesign
Widowmaker has been given an outer layer of armor that matches her original black boots. Those black boots have also been integrated and her headpiece has been made brighter to compliment the darker overall look she has in Overwatch 2.
Winston NEW LOOK AND REDESIGN
Finally, Winston’s new look in Overwatch 2 is slightly different with his armor being altered slightly and a more unified colour scheme implemented.
