Overwatch 2 is full of Kermit the Frog memes, thanks to Lucio

Overwatch 2 Lucio Kermit memes Paraiso: an image of Lucio wall-riding in Rio

International electronic music superstar, advocate for meaningful social change, and popular Overwatch Support hero Lucio has an affinity for frogs – that much is evident, just by looking at the iconography surrounding his character design. However, it looks like Blizzard is taking this affinity to the next level with Overwatch 2 – and, it’s having a bit of fun with it as well. In the upcoming Rio de Janeiro-based Overwatch 2 map Paraiso, which is where Lucio hails from, eagle-eyed fans have spotted that all of Lucio’s album covers are actually inspired by popular Kermit the Frog memes.

As spotted by the aptly named ‘DoctorDeadeye’ on the Overwatch subreddit, Blizzard has hidden four picture frames on the upcoming map – which players will be able to explore when they work out how to access the Overwatch 2 beta.

In those four picture frames, the cover artwork for four of Lucio’s albums can be found. Three of the images are clear references to popular Kermit the Frog memes and the fourth image is a reference to the fictional (but also real) novelty cereal Lucio-Oh’s. We don’t know for sure, but this would suggest that Lucio recorded some sort of theme for the cereal.

To make things even more amusing, each album cover has the name of the album itself on it – as you would expect. There’s one we can’t quite make out from the footage available, but “Internal Monologue” and “The Millenium Anxiety” can be made out on the images for the ‘evil Kermit’ meme and the ‘sad Kermit’ meme respectively.

Thankfully, if you want to find out what the third one says, you should be able to jump into the Overwatch 2 beta now and check them out. We don’t know exactly where to find them, but we’re hedging some bets on these being hidden inside Lucio’s Clube Sinestesia.

If you want to check all of this out for yourself before that, though, you can below:
