After much debate from basketball fans, NBA 2K23 has finally given us some news on this year’s game and revealed its first cover star. Yes, Michael Jordan will return to the NBA 2K box for a fourth time as 2023 coincides with the NBA All-Star’s jersey number, 23.
Michael Jordan will star on both the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition and the ultra-premium Championship Edition covers when the game releases on September 9, 2022. And, alongside his position on the cover, The Jordan Challenges will return, with all ten original challenges from NBA 2K11 having been completely rebuilt from the ground up. Five additional iconic Michael Jordan moments bring that number up to 15. The mode will be available in all versions of the game, not just the two editions Jordan is featured on the cover of.
More details about these challenges will be released later this Summer ahead of the NBA 2K23 release date.
Pricing and contents of both the Michael Jordan Edition of the game and the Championship Edition haven’t been revealed yet. You can check out the trailer for the edition below:
