Fans want Marceline in MultiVersus, and so does the game’s director

Marceline has been one of MultiVersus' most hotly-requested characters, and it looks like the fighting game's director Tony Huynh wants to make her playable too

MultiVersus Marceline Tony Huynh: Marceline The Vampire Queen

MultiVersus has incorporated some of the best-loved characters from the Warner Bros catalogue into its roster, but there is of course always room for more. One of the most widely-requested additions to the squad is none other than Adventure Time’s Marceline, and game director Tony Huynh certainly seems to think The Vampire Queen should enter the arena, too.

Taking to Twitter on August 10, Obey Alliance’s pro player ‘Rexehh’ expresses his own desire for Marcy to become a playable character, asking for retweets from those who agreed with the sentiment. And, of course, Huynh himself shared the post onto his own profile, showing his support for the notion.

Although Marceline already has a ringout animation – perhaps indicating that she isn’t destined for life in the ring itself, that hasn’t deterred eager fans from theorycrafting how she could manifest as part of the MultiVersus roster.

“I think there is support potential like how Lucio is in Overwatch – music that makes you faster in a specific aura, slowly heals you, or even [gives] a slight damage buff”, ‘Stuff Stupid stuff’ tweets. Others, meanwhile, have pointed towards a theoretical Marcy addition placing her in the Bruiser or Mage categories.

Regardless of how she materialises, we would absolutely love to see Marcy go from ringout to ring-in, and would hope she’d take up a top spot in our MultiVersus tier list alongside Adventure Time bestie Finn.
