MultiVersus pits Warner Bros. characters against each other in the ultimate multiverse mash-up fighting game. Have you ever wanted to see what would happen if Superman took on Shaggy from Scooby-Doo in a fight to the death? Well, now you can – and I know who I would hedge my bets on. The best fighting games are best played against other people online, however, and we think it would be handy if you could play against people on all platforms in MultiVersus crossplay.
MultiVersus also has a multitude of levels from all of the Warner Bros. franchises, including Batman’s Batcave and Jake and Finn’s tree fort from Adventure Time. Combine all of this content with the fact that the game is centred around 2v2 play and you’ll be hoping the game has a healthy playerbase.
Well, a large playerbase can be maintained by breaking down the MultiVersus crossplay barriers and introducing cross-platform play and matchmaking into the mix. Here’s everything we know about whether you can fight players on other consoles.
Will MultiVersus have crossplay or cross-platform support?
MultiVersus has full cross-platform play and cross-platform progression across all consoles and PC. That means that no matter what platform you play the game on, you will be able to team up with, or fight against, people on any other platform. The implementation of cross-progression also means that you can download the game on numerous platforms and your progress is saved and carried over no matter where you play.
MultiVersus is out on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. With so many platforms being catered to, hopefully, MultiVersus will have a large community of players with which to matchmake.
