MultiVersus Batman combos – the best chain attacks for the Dark Knight

MultiVersus is packed with characters, but not all of them are as familiar as Bruce Wayne (or Batman) himself. With his iconic Batarang, Bat-Grapple, and more in the brawler, his kit will be familiar to fans, but he can combine those items to create a chain of unique attacks in various ways. This comes in the form of a number of MultiVersus Batman combos.

Combos in MultiVersus (which is one of the best fighting games in years) aren’t easy to pull off and often require a lot of skill and practice, with Batman being a good mix-up character that relies on aerial and ground hits. He is great at surprising you and throwing in moves that you wouldn’t necessarily expect.

MultiVersus Batman Combos

Batman’s combos are highly reliant on his Batarang and mixing up attacks, trying to extend the combo for as long as possible. Moves neatly flow into one another, allowing you to shorten or extend chains at a whim. These are some of those chains that make up the Batman combos in MultiVersus:

  • Launch Combo – Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Special (Up)
  • Multi-Hit Launch Combo – Charged Ground Attack, Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Special (Up)
  • Bat-Bomb Standard Combo – Ground Special, Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Special (Up)
  • Reverse Multi-Hit Combo – Ground Special, Air Attack, Air Attack (Side), Ground Attack, Ground Attack (Down), Ground Special (Up)
  • Bat-Bomb Grapple Combo – Ground Special, Air Attack, Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Ground Attack (Side), Special (Side), Ground Special (Up)

Launch Combo

Batman’s standard launch combo, consists of three regular side attacks, followed by a ground special uppercut which launches your opponents.

  • Input on PlayStation: square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, triangle button + left stick up
  • Input on Xbox: X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, Y button + left stick up
  • Input on PC: J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, K key + W key

Multi-Hit Launch Combo

The multi-hit launch combo is similar in that it send your opponents flying, but you land an extra hit initially by charging up your Batarang to stun your opponents before you begin your regular combo.

  • Input on PlayStation: hold square button, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, triangle button + left stick up
  • Input on Xbox: hold X button, X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, Y button + left stick up
  • Input on PC: hold J key, J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, K key + W key

Bat-Bomb Standard Combo

The Bat-Bomb Standard combo combines the above launch combos with planting a Bat-Bomb on your opponent first. This allows you to land an extra hit and also follow-up with a juggle once the bomb explodes.

  • Input on PlayStation: triangle button, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, triangle button + left stick up
  • Input on Xbox: Y button, X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, X button + left stick side, Y button + left stick up
  • Input on PC: K key, J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, J key + A/D key, K key + W key

Reverse multi-Hit Combo

This combo focuses on mixing up your individual attacks, rather than relying on your standard 3 hit side attack combo, while combining the Bat-Bomb, Batarang, and an uppercut to put a person behind you or know them off the stage.

  • Input on PlayStation: triangle button, X button, square button, x button, square button + left stick side, square button, square button + left stick down, triangle button + left stick up
  • Input on Xbox: Y button, A button, X button, A button, X button + left stick side, X button, X button + left stick down, Y button + left stick up

Bat-Bomb Grapple Combo

This combo blends the use of the grapple and the bat-bomb to keep your opponents stunned and unable to attack. These attacks also build upon the combos above.

  • Input on PlayStation: triangle button, X button, square button, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, square button + left stick side, triangle button + left stick side, triangle button + left stick up
