MultiVersus, just like any of the best fighting games out there right now, comes with its own unique mechanics. Perhaps the best example of this is MultiVersus Attack Decay. During your games, you will most-likely have come across a visual indicator for it and wondered ‘what is that, how do I get rid of it?’
Having finally launched into open beta at the end of July, eager players have finally been able to get their mitts on Player First Games’ very first title, and so far the reception has been positive.
Of course, why wouldn’t it be, when you get to bet the stuffing out of Batman as Jake the Dog? Of course, it would be easier to do so if that pesky MultiVersus Attack Decay mechanic didn’t keep getting in the way, so read on to find out all you need to know about it.
MultiVersus Attack Decay
MultiVersus Attack Decay comes into effect when players use the same move consecutively for too long. For example, if you keep punching over and over again, Attack Decay will kick in. While in effect, Attack Decay progressively reduces the damage you deal with each attack.
You’ll know that you’re being affected by Attack Decay thanks to the visual indicator that appears above your character saying so. Naturally, when you get out of Attack Decay, the indicator vanishes.
How to remove MultiVersus Attack Decay
‘So how do you remove MultiVersus Attack Decay?’ In order to get rid of Attack Decay, mix up your combos and start introducing a greater variety of attacks. Once several blows have been landed, Attack Decay will end.
While a pesky mechanic for sure, Attack Decay is Player First Games’ attempt to reduce spam in the game – something we’re very glad to see seeing as players should be attempting to maximise their understanding of each member of the MultiVersus roster.
