MLB The Show 22 is back for another year and includes a host of new features and upgrades, with one of the biggest being the introduction of full cross-play and cross-progression.
Both of these features will help keep the game and playerbase alive as the series expands beyond PlayStation, releasing on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for a second year, and coming to Nintendo Switch for the first time. Cross-play and cross-progression has become as standard in games these days and MLB The Show looks to be the latest franchise to commit to adding these features at launch.
But, how will the feature work and will you be able to turn MLB The Show 22 crossplay off? Well, continue reading for a full overview of what MLB, Sony, and San Diego Studio have said about implementing the feature so far.
MLB The Show 22 Crossplay
MLB The Show 22 has full crossplay, allowing everyone on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch to play alongside one another.
MLB The Show 22 Cross-progression
MLB The Show 22 will also have full cross-progression between PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
You will be able to transfer your progress between all of these platforms, apart from the current-gen exclusive modes, which can only have progress transferred between Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
This will be done through your MLB The Show account, which you can sign up for here.
