Unlike a battle royale where you’re required to eliminate the opposition to win, in Marathon you will be able to eliminate opponents, find and extract with artifacts, or even just flee to stay alive. Like with most extraction shooters, it sounds as though your looted equipment or upgrades will persist into your next run if you manage to escape alive.
