League of Legends’ Jinx rumoured for Fortnite debut

Jinx is expected to arrive in Fortnite just in time for the premiere of Arcane on Netflix

Jinx from Wild Rift

One of the best League of Legends champions is making a debut in a new battleground, and it’s not where you might expect. Jinx, the loose cannon, is getting ready to board the party bus ahead of a new Fortnite crossover.

The unlikely crossover is set to take place in early November, according to leakers, to tie in with the release of Arcane, the new League of Legends anime, on Netflix. Jinx is one of the main characters in the show, hence her cameo in the battle royale.

It’s not yet clear how much League of Legends content is going to be in Fortnite, but what is clear is that some fans are certainly excited. Jinx is the only skin that has so far been datamined, but it is likely that players will be tasked with some League-themed missions along the way. Who knows, more champions which feature in the show might be revealed closer to the time too…

While this is a surprising partnership between two of the biggest players in the industry, it’s not the only one. To celebrate the release of Arcane, Riot has signed a year-long partnership with Amazon Prime to reward viewers with in-game goodies.

League of Legends headlines the deal, with skins, emotes, and RP on offer, but there are rewards for esports fans, as well as Valorant, Wild Rift, and Runeterra players too.

With Riot Games clearly ready to splash the cash to make Arcane a success, who knows what might be on the horizon for League of Legends and who might pop up in Fortnite next.

Arcane is due for release on November 6, so expect Jinx’s Fortnite release then.
