Have you ever sat there wondering what it would be like to beat the number one League of Legends player on your server? Well, it turns out you already might have – at least indirectly. I Beat the Best in League of Legends is a fan-made site that chains together victories to create a win path between you and the top League of Legends player in your region. It’s like the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, but with League games.

Redditor ‘bpziegler’, the creator of the site, has taken to the online forum to share his work that reveals just how many League of Legends games there are between you and the best.

Surprisingly, they reveal that it usually only takes four or five wins to get there – however, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a lot longer. Some chains can link 10 or more wins together before you’re at the top.

If you want to find out for yourself, all you need to do is head to the website, select your server, and type in your Summoner name. You might have a tougher time finding out whether you’ve beaten the best League of Legends player globally, though – this will only tell you if you have bested the top player in your region.

If you’re looking for a more in-depth analysis of how you managed to beat the best player, you can also check out the stats for each player in your win path. Minion kills, damage dealt, and any killing sprees are recorded – who knows, you might find that you have absolutely dominated your opponent in the first step.

The website might need a little sprucing up, but it’s an impressive database of League of Legends stats that leads to the very top of the League of Legends ranks. You can also sign up for email notifications that will let you know when the win path has changed, for better or worse.

Finding out you’re only three or four wins away from the best League of Legends players is pretty fun, but there are still some kinks that need ironing out on the website. One Redditor comments that his win path includes an Ashe bot. We’re not sure that’s entirely fair, but a win is a win – right?
