Horizon Forbidden West‘s Tallnecks are one of the most iconic parts of the Horizon world. Their tall stature and the fact that you had to climb in the first game made them one of the most interesting and enjoyable activities in Horizon Zero Dawn. In Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck locations are back and they have been greatly expanded with their own multi-step quests that have to be completed in order to get access to the Tallneck, either by climbing it or using your Shieldwing. Tallnecks are always a big draw for players and seeing one in the distance acts as a waypoint for finding your way around the land. They are one of a number of side activities that can be found in the open world, alongside Cauldrons, collectibles, and more.
Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck locations
Horizon Forbidden West has six Tallnecks to find, although they aren’t wandering around, instead you need to activate them:
- Cinnabar Sands Tallneck location – found in the far east of the map in the sandy dunes
- The Stillsands Tallneck location – found in the centre of the map on the edge of the Dryland’s eastern border
- The Shining Wastes Tallneck location – found in the middle of the map north of The Stillsands Tallneck
- Salt Bite Tallneck location – found in the north of the map within the Cauldron
- The Stand of the Sentinels Tallneck location – found int he west, southwest of the snowy hills
- Landfall Tallneck location – found on the island west of the mainland
Cinnabar Sands Tallneck location
The Cinnabar Sands Tallneck can be found in the far east of the map in the sandy dunes north of the body of water.
The Stillsands Tallneck location
The Stillsands Tallneck can be found in the centre of the map, in the southern region. It is located on the edge of the Drylands on the eastern border.
The Shining Wastes Tallneck location
The Shining Wastes Tallneck, can be found in the middle of the map, just north of the sandy dunes and the Stillsands Tallneck.
Salt Bite Tallneck location
In the north of the map, you can find the Salt Bite Tallneck, which can be found inside one of Horizon Forbidden West’s Cauldron locations.
The Stand of the Sentinels Tallneck location
The Stand of the Sentinels Tallneck can be found in the far west of the map, just southwest of the snowy hills.
Landfall Tallneck location
Finally, the Landfall Tallneck can be found on the island to the west of the main landmass. It is underwater, so you will need to dive to activate it.
