New Hogwarts Legacy ASMR video teased by its now famous watering can

WB Games’ upcoming action RPG Hogwarts Legacy is on the way and fans think this magical watering can is hinting that the Summer ASMR video is on the horizon

You might not believe it, but WB Games is using ASMR to offer Hogwarts Legacy fans an insight into the stunning environments they’ll be able to explore in-game – and, we suppose, to show off some of the excellent sound design from Avalanche Software along the way. With the first of these interesting ASMR videos hitting over 330,000 views on YouTube, it’s safe to say that fans enjoy this atmospheric way of showcasing what’s on offer. If you’re one of these fans, you’ll be pleased to know that it looks like the next Hogwarts Legacy ASMR video is on the horizon – well, that’s what a cryptic tweet about a magical watering can has led fans to believe.

The strange tweet in question was shared on the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account. It offers up a short eight-second clip of a magical watering can with the following quote: “The enchanted watering cans of Hogwarts tend the grounds even during a rainy spring night – after all, the summer sun is just over the horizon.”

If you’re someone who hasn’t seen the ASMR video, someone who didn’t even know it existed, this will mean very little. However, to those in the know, it appears to be an obvious reference to the fact that a second ASMR video showcasing Hogwarts Legacy’s environments is on the way.

Earlier in the year, on May 18, a 20-minute ASMR video titled ‘A Rainy Spring Night’ was uploaded to the Hogwarts Legacy YouTube channel – the title of which is clearly referenced in the tweet, which you can see below:

Much like the tweet in question offers us a glimpse into the world of Hogwarts Legacy, this ASMR video invites fans to take a stroll through the Hogwarts Castle grounds and the streets of Hogsmeade during a temperate, but slightly wet, spring evening. There aren’t any people around, so don’t expect this to offer up any insights into the stories that will unfold, but it does offer fans a fantastic opportunity to explore some of the environments they’ll be able to explore when the Hogwarts Legacy release date finally arrives.

With the tweet suggesting that “the summer sun is just over the horizon”, fans are certain that a summer-based ASMR video is on the way – offering fans a brighter look at the world of Hogwarts Legacy. With this action-RPG due Holiday 2022, it’s understandable to think that a summer-based ASMR video within the next month and an autumnal look at Hogwarts a month or two after would lead nicely into a winter-themed ASMR video and Hogwarts Legacy’s launch. However, we just don’t know for sure when this next ASMR video is coming and what further insight it will offer us.

If you’re a fan of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World universe, this game is going to be the ultimate experience. It already looks like Hogwarts Legacy might have wand customisation, and the Hogwarts Legacy characters list is full of familiar faces and new additions to the rich universe. We, for one, can’t wait to find out more – and if that comes in the form of another ASMR video, so be it.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
