Hogwarts Legacy how to stun enemies
To stun enemies in Hogwarts Legacy, you can either parry an attack with Stupefy, or cast a spell that limits enemy mobility, namely Control spells.
Here are all the spells that can effectively stun enemies in Hogwarts Legacy:
- Stupefy – activated after a successful Hogwarts Legacy block and parry
- Arresto Momentum – slows objects and enemies
- Glacius – freezes enemies and makes them take more damage
- Levioso – levitates enemies and leaves them vulnerable to follow up attacks
- Flipendo – flips enemies around in the air
- Descendo – slams enemies into the ground
- Depulso – repels enemies
- Accio – pulls enemies towards you in the air
These spells are all great at stunning enemies to interrupt their attacks and leave them vulnerable to follow up attacks. For instance, when an enemy is affected by Levioso, they will float in the air and be unable to attack you, effectively leaving them stunned for its duration. Likewise, Descendo can be used to interrupt enemy attacks and stun them.
Stupefy is the most versatile of these spells as it is the only form of direct stun that does not have a spell cooldown. All you’ll need to do is know how to block and parry in Hogwarts Legacy to stun enemies whenever they dare attack you.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.
While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
