Ravenclaw are well known around the Hogwarts halls. But, they aren’t always everyone’s choice. But, if they are yours this guide will take you through how to get into and join Ravenclaw in Hogwarts Legacy at the start of the game.

Choosing which of the Hogwarts Legacy houses you want to be a part of is the first big decision you will make in the game. So, you better get it right. But, once you have made the decision in Hogwarts Legacy, especially if it is Ravenclaw, you will have a shiny Hogwarts Legacy common room waiting for you. The answer below is based on our Hogwarts Legacy review playthrough of the game.

To get into and join Ravenclaw in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to choose the option ‘Curiosity’ during the sorting hat quiz at the start of the game.

This answer will get the Sorting Hat to just confirm with you that you do want to join the house. This is your final chance to change before being locked into that house for the whole playthrough. There aren’t many big differences between the houses anyway, so you don’t have to worry about missing out on anything.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.

While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
