Sometimes the spells that the bad side use are the coolest, and we all want to mess around with them, so unlocking the Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena should be a priority for those interested in the Dark Arts. The Battle Arenas are ways to test out some of the spells outside of the halls of Hogwarts without judgement.
Hogwarts Legacy is here and we already know how to unlock this area in the game. Thankfully, you won’t be removed from the classes at Hogwarts for using the Dark Arts Battle Arena, just like how you can be evil in Hogwarts Legacy, but you may need to use them outside of the arena. Especially if you need to take down some of the menacing Hogwarts Legacy characters who have nefarious motives.
What is the Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena?
The Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena is a wave-based survival arena where you fight a variety of enemies and complete challenges.
It is one of the key areas where you can practise your combat skills and also level up and take on tough Hogwarts Legacy bosses using the variety of Hogwarts Legacy spells. So, it would be a good idea to make use of it, especially when you unlock new abilities and combat possibilities. You can see some gameplay of it below:
How to unlock the Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena
The Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena is unlocked by purchasing and owning the Dark Arts Pack, which is included with the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition.
While it is annoying that the Dark Arts Battle Arena is locked behind a paywall or a higher edition, it appears to be the only thing that is. The developer has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy microtransactions aren’t coming, so there shouldn’t be anything else you need to purchase once you’ve got the game. There are some exclusive Hogwarts Legacy fan club items to grab though.
In the game, it can then be found in the north of the map, just above the Forbidden Forest.

Hogwarts Legacy has drawn considerable criticism during its development, largely due to the fact that the creator of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, has made a number of transphobic remarks on social media in recent years.
While Avalanche has confirmed that J.K. Rowling is not “directly involved” in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, it is working with “her team” and Portkey Games, a Warner Bros. label dedicated to launching new experiences inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories. It is currently unclear whether she will earn any royalties from the game’s sale, but it is likely given it is based on her original body of work.
