Whether you’re looking to play hardcore racing games competitively or just for fun, cross-play is a key part to connecting you to the wider community and keeping you playing with friends. With the latest GRID game, GRID Legends on the horizon, the question of GRID Legends cross-play is being raised.

Packaged in among a new story experience called Driven To Glory, a Career Mode, and a Race Editor, online racing is once again back for GRID Legends. But, how does it work and will everyone be able to play together or will some platforms be confined to their own player bases to keep racing fair for everyone on each platform?

Read on to find out everything there is to know about GRID Legends cross-play, so you can prepare to get stuck in ahead of the GRID Legends release date in 2022.

GRID Legends Crossplay

Does GRID Legend have cross-play? We can confirm that GRID Legends does indeed feature cross-play between all platforms, meaning that PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC players will all be able to race online against one another without a single hitch.

This news was shared alongside the announcement of the GRID Legends release date and the unveiling of the Grid Legends Mechanic Pass.

We don’t know yet how you will be able to play with friends or if you will need an EA account to connect up with one another to race in a team, but we will have a better idea closer to launch.

GRID Legends is now available to pre-order ahead of release and Game Pass players will likely be treated to a ten hour trial ahead of release thanks to EA Play, like we have seen with other EA games.
