Express yourself in Los Santos because a fresh GTA Online weekly update is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC players. Though some players are waiting to see what that 50 Cent GTA 6 tease is all about, Rockstar Games is keeping the spotlight on acclaimed former NWA member Dr Dre. Brand new rewards for The Contract are hitting the streets in GTA 5 and you’ll need to act fast to get them.
Grand Theft Auto 5 players continue to see epic loot, eloquent clothing, and gorgeous vehicles arrive in GTA Online. With the latest GTA Online weekly update, Red Dead Redemption 2 developer Rockstar Games says in a new blog post that “in The Contract, procuring an agency and getting into the private intelligence trade with legendary Los Santos street hustler Franklin Clinton opens up a number of profitable endeavours […] bonuses [are available] on security contracts, payphone hits, and even for assisting the incomparable Dr Dre in tracking down his stolen phone.”
Yes, you’ll be interacting with Dr Dre for more GTA 5 shenanigans. The Data Leaks is a new questline involving Dr Dre and you can “earn 2X GTA$ and RP for your hard work.”
Alongside the inclusion of new rewards for The Contract, players should look into starting their own agency if they haven’t already. Don’t worry if you’ve not done it before as setting up an agency is very easy to do.
“For those yet to establish their agency, the fine folks at Dynasty 8 Executive are offering 40% discounts on their available Agency properties,” the developer explains. Once you’ve got your agency ready and raring to go, Rockstar says that ” security contracts [are] paying out 2X GTA$ and RP all week long.”
GTA 5 story-mode character Franklin is awaiting your call too. The skilled wheelman needs players to complete “payphone hits — available after completing three security contracts — and enjoy 50% more profit.” What’s a fresh Dr Dre update without any dazzling drip or tunes to accompany it though? Logging in this week will see GTA Online players acquire the White DJ Pooh tee, which honours the host of the legendary in-game radio station West Coast Classics.
Of course, we’re wondering what 50 Cent’s GTA 6 Instagram post is all about. Though it could be something for a future GTA Online update, Rockstar Games is easing the wait for GTA 6 with a sweet playlist of hits available on Apple Music and Spotify. The playlist includes the likes of barnstorming figures such as “Anderson .Paak, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, and Ty Dolla $ign.”
Wherever your GTA Online adventures take you, we’ll be looking out for future GTA 6 developments and more in the meantime.
