Is Gotham Knights in the Arkhamverse or a sequel to Arkham Knight?

Want to know is Gotham Knights in the Arkhamverse or a sequel to Arkham Knight? Here is the answer straight from WB Games Montreal themselves

Gotham Knights Set In The Arkhamverse

Is Gotham Knights set in the Arkhamverse or is it a sequel to Arkham Knight? Those are the two questions that players and DC fans are asking with Gotham Knights now out. The single-player or co-op game from WB Games Montreal follows the Arkham series’ conclusion in 2016 from Rocksteady. So, it is natural that questions will be asked about whether the series does fit into the Rocksteady world or if it follows any events from that series.

Is Gotham Knights in the Arkhamverse or a sequel to Arkham Knight?

Gotham Knights is not set in the Arkhamverse and it is not a sequel to Arkham Knight. As Batman, Batgirl, the Penguin, and many other characters have different likenesses to those in the Arkhamverse, they are not carried over from Rocksteady’s Games. WB Montreal has also stated on multiple occasions that the game is an “original story and experience set in DC’s Batman Universe. It is not connected to the Batman: Arkham games.”

However, the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League from Rocksteady is set in the Arkhamverse and will follow the events of that series. You can check out everything you need to know about that game, ahead of the Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League release date in 2023 in our guide on the game.

Despite not being a sequel to Arkham Knight or set in the Arkhamverse Gotham Knights has a lot going for it, including the co-op multiplayer features which allow you and a friend to play through the whole game together.
