God of War Ragnarok, the sequel to Santa Monica Studios’ award-winning action RPG, is coming and the developer has just surprise-dropped some information on the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition alongside information on the God of War Ragnarok release date that’s basically forcing us to buy it.
What are we even talking about? Oh, just that the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition comes with a 16-inch replica of Thor’s hammer, Mjonir, and it looks glorious. But, you don’t need us telling you that… Santa Monica Studios held a little unboxing with God of War Ragnarok’s Ryan Hurst – who portrays Thor – and Santa Monica Studio art director Rafael Grassetti.
Checking Mjolnir out, which at a glance appears to be made of plastic, Hurst said the following: “This is solid, it has weight to it, it’s got balance to it… The attention to detail is phenominal – my gosh.” So, while you might not exactly be weilding the power of Thor with this Mjolnir… It will make a very nice display piece – or even a cosplay accessory!
Looking for a glimpse of Mjolnir yourself? You can check out the unboxing video for yourself below:
