Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC release date revealed

It's not the same without the flame and that's why Playground Games is bringing back Hot Wheels with the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC release date soon

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC: A car can be seen driving.

Playground Games has confirmed the leak we’ve all been waiting for: the next Forza Horizon 5 DLC is indeed a Hot Wheels one and it’ll be drifting into storefronts on July 19, 2022.

The Forza 5 Hot Wheels DLC was leaked on June 8 after Steam accidentally uploaded a banner ahead of Summer Game Fest Live which showed the brand’s iconic orange curvy track next to the gorgeous backdrop of Mexico. This is the first of two expansions that Playground Games are developing for the racing game and breaks from the tradition of usually having a brand tie-in for the second expansion rather than the first.

The new trailer is an absolutely nuts look at the expansion including a rock cover of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. The expansion looks bigger and better than the one Forza Horizon 3 expansion and frankly, we can’t wait to play it!

You can check out the absolutely insane trailer below:

This DLC follows in the footsteps of the Forza Horizon 3 expansion, which took players across six new islands in Australia that were all connected with Hot Wheels-themed loops, corkscrews, and boost pads. The expansion also included ten new cars from the 1972 Chryslet VH Valiant Charger R/T E49 to the 2016 Jeep Tailcat.

The Forza 5 Hot Wheels DLC release date was revealed at Summer Game Fest, which stretches throughout the rest of the week. You can find the full Summer Game Fest schedule right here, but we’ll be covering all the latest news on The Loadout – so keep your eyes peeled on our social feeds for more.
