Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC has leaked online

Forza Horizon 5's first dlc has leaked online and Hot Wheels is seemingly returning to the series after the toy brand last appeared in Forza Horizon 3

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC

Five years since Playground Games last brought the inner child in all of us to life with Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 3, Playground are once again partnering with the toy brand for Forza Horizon 5‘s first expansion. Steam has leaked a Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC as the game’s first expansion, thanks to a banner that has been updated ahead of Summer Games Fest.

The banner, which can be seen below thanks to ‘Wario64‘ shows the iconic orange curvy track throughout Mexico’s scenic countryside and ancient ruins, alongside a car driving across it.

Unfortunately, this leak does not detail a release date for this Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 5. However, with Summer Games Fest beginning on June 9, we could see the DLC revealed at Geoff Keighley’s showcase on the same day or at the Microsoft and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12.

This Hot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 5 also breaks with Playground’s traditional DLC format. Usually, the first expansion offers a new location to explore that is drastically different from what is seen in the main game, with the second having the brand tie-in. So, maybe we could see this reversed for Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 3’s Hot Wheels DLC was critically acclaimed when it was initially released in 2017, with it sitting at an 87 on Metacritic. And, with our Forza Horizon 5 review praising the game heavily, Playground should be able to exceed what they were able to do with their last Hot Wheels focused DLC.
