The Dragon Ball Z event update has arrived and it’s hard to argue that Fortnite isn’t one of the best battle royale games out there now. This free update introduces Fortnite Versus Boards, a fun twist on the game’s bounty system, a series of Dragon Ball Power Unleashed event challenges, and a new set of cosmetics. However, what’s really exciting is the fact that it has also introduced the Kamehameha Mythic to Fortnite – and it’s as powerful as you’d expect it to be.
In this battle royale shooter, for the most part, almost every unique weapon Epic Games adds to Fortnite during crossovers and collaborations is introduced as a Mythic rarity item – which means they’re the best available in the loot pool at the time. The new Fortnite Kamehameha Mythic, though, might just be the best of the best. Looking at this weapon’s damage stats is humbling to say the least and it’s clear to see that this will be a dominant force on Fortnite Island.
Reputable Fortnite leaker and data miner ‘HYPEX’ has shared the Kamehameha Mythic’s stats online following the release of the Dragon Ball Z event update and it’s safe to say that the numbers are eye watering.
Despite having a 15-second cooldown, HYPEX reports that the Kamehameha Mythic will deal 100 damage on initial impact and then an additional 40 damage per second for the three seconds it is active. If you play your cards right and you don’t miss, you’re looking at 220 damage from one attack. This is a devastating amount that’s almost just enough to finish an opponent off from full health.
Of course, there are some drawbacks – including the long cooldown. The Kamehameha beam itself has a charge time of just over a second, which is something you’ll need to keep an eye on if you get caught short by any attackers. However, this is more than manageable if you get some distance between you and your assailant.
The Kamehameha Mythic can be found in Capsule Corp deliveries that fall from the sky throughout the match – with more of these drops appearing as the storm closes. So, expect the end-game to be a chaotic test of power and the Kamehameha energy beams to be flying.
You’ll be pleased to know that Epic Games has confirmed that this weapon – and the new Nimbus Cloud Kintoun item – are not available in Competitive, other than the Dragon Ball Z-themed Tournament of Power. If you’re not a fan of all this, then you can find out more about some games like Fortnite right here. However, how could you not be? It all sounds epic.
