The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass has some pretty sweet rewards, but grinding XP to get them can be a slog. Thankfully, we can always rely on the weekly quests to roll around with some lovely XP boosts. The ‘no ranged weapon’ weekly quest is proving to be a formidable challenge but paired with this trick, you’ll complete it with ease. All you need is some firefly jars and patience.
Fortnite has a lot going on right now, as we move toward the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 release date. With new skins dropping every week in the Fortnite item store and The Kid LAROI concert start time on the cards, now is a great time to get the Battle Pass done and dusted. The latest batch of Fortnite weekly quests are here, containing the likes of the ‘eliminate a player with no ranged weapons in your inventory’ and ‘use Chug Splash, Grenades, and Fireflies’ quests.
They might seem like an annoyance at first, but Fortnite Redditor ‘Cloaked Star‘ showcases just how easily they can be completed. To tick off the latter weekly quest, simply gather some firefly jars and throw them into the ocean or a river bed. As they won’t explode on impact, you are free to pick them up and repeatedly throw them to complete the quest. Easy peasy.
Dispatching a foe with no ranged weapons, though, will require a little more patience. Surprisingly, firefly jars currently don’t count as a ranged weapon. With their splash damage aiding massively in close-quarters gunfights, we recommend using jars again here to net yourself the kill.
It remains to be seen whether firefly jars will be moved into a different weapon category, but for now, put them to good use for this weekly.
Another way to ensure your success is by using the best Fortnite landing spots for Chapter 4 Season 1. Make sure you’re up to date with all Fortnite Augments too, before you head into battle. Enjoy that sweet, sweet XP.
