Marvel heroes and villains in Fortnite are more popular than ever, especially as Phase 5 of the MCU kicks off with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in 2023. Now, ahead of Captain America 3: New World Order beginning production, Epic Games is letting Fortnite players don the Vibranium shield once more, as Anthony Mackie’s iteration of Sam Wilson arrives in Chapter 4 Season 1 of Fortnite.
Recently it was speculated by Fortnite leaker accounts ‘HYPEX‘ and ‘Shiina‘ that the MCU’s new Captain America, Sam Wilson, would be added to Fortnite in the form of a brand new Marvel skin bundle. Well, get your V-Bucks at the ready, as Epic Games confirms that the former Falcon is now available to purchase via the Fortnite in-game store.
Equipped with an updated version of the Captain America suit, Sam Wilson also comes with the iconic Vibranium shield, the EXO-7 Falcon Wings Glider, and a brand new loading screen as you prepare to drop into the pre-game lobby.
Captain America fans can also purchase the BriteStar skin, which is another Marvel-themed collaboration featuring an alternative version of the famous Captain America costume. Sam Wilson himself is available in two separate bundles, though Sam Wilson alone costs 2,000 V-Bucks. If you do opt to go for the Captain America and BriteStar bundle, then it’ll set you back 2,600 V-Bucks ($19.99/£16.49).
The arrival of Sam Wilson comes ahead of Captain America 3: New World Order, which is set to begin production later in 2023. Part of Phase Five in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the third entry sees Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson grapple the Captain America mantle, following the events of the Disney+ show The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
