Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes pre-orders are now available, with a couple of different versions of the upcoming strategy-turned-combat game to choose from, each offering something slightly different. Here’s an overview for anybody who was planning to add this game to their Nintendo Switch collection.

If you get your Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes pre-orders in on time, you’ll soon find yourself playing the latest crossover between the Warriors series and Fire Emblem, and the good news is that this one looks to have a heavier focus on story. Much like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity before it tied into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Three Hopes looks set to offer a story that is directly connected to that of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

With characters like Byleth, Shez, and Edelgard among the playable cast, it’s sure to be a treat with anybody who fell in love with Fire Emblem: Three Houses and has found themselves yearning for an opportunity to take direct control over these characters on the battlefield.

These are the two different versions of the game that will be available to pre-order ahead of the game’s release date on June 24.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes pre-orders (Standard Edition)

You can pre-order the standard release of the game in both physical and digital formats. However you prefer your games, you’ll be able to make sure that you have it in your collection on release day.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes – Limited Edition/Treasure Box

There is also a Limited Edition of the game (known as the Treasure Box in Japan) which contains a number of extra goodies. Unfortunately for Fire Emblem fans in the US, it hasn’t been made available in that region, and in Europe and Japan, it has been out of stock pretty much since it became available. Nonetheless, if you do manage to find one, or are willing to import one, it comes with all of the following:

  • Artbook: containing beautiful artwork based on the characters and settings in the game.
  • Tapestry map of Fódlan: a lovely collector’s item for fans of Three Houses.
  • Set of five acrylic figurines: we don’t know all of them yet, but we do know Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude are included here.
  • Character postcard set: multiple postcards of Fire Emblem characters, including Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude and several others (only those three are confirmed so far).

What to play before Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

As well as all of its ties to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is a sequel to the 2017 game, Fire Emblem Warriors for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. While it is unknown whether or not the game will contain any references or connections to the story in Fire Emblem Warriors, buying and playing it first will give you a taste of what’s to come. We also strongly advise that you play Fire Emblem: Three Houses beforehand.
