Fire Emblem Engage romance explained
Fire Emblem Engage does have a suite of romance options. These options allow you to choose one other character to become an S-rank ally, which will then result in a scene that allows them to profess their love to one another. Unlike previous games in the series Fire Emblem Engage does not limit who you can form a relationship with based on gender. So, you have free reign!
In Fire Emblem Engage you are able to romance the following characters:

- Chloe
- Citrinne
- Diamant
- Goldmary
- Ivy
- Jade
- Kagetsu
- Lapis
- Louis
- Mauvier
- Merrin
- Pandreo
- Panette
- Seadall
Once you have romanced your character of choice, you are able to see an Ally Notebook page describing your time together with your romance option. It is worth noting that you are not able to romance any of the Fire Emblem Engage Emblems, which are characters returning from previous games in spirit form and acting as sidekicks. To do this, you will need a Pact Ring in your possession which will allow you to make them an S-rank companion from an A-rank companion.
In addition to these romance options, you do also have a number of platonic relationships you can form over the course of the game. Therefore, it is worth pursuing more than just the one you want to betroth yourself to.
