What is TOTY?
Team of the Year is a promotion that comes to FIFA every single year and it celebrates the best 11 players of the year. The players are voted for by the public and the winners are taken by EA Sports and given a special blue card, complete with stat boosts.
These cards are then added to packs in batches, where players try and snag one or two of them along the way. They are so elusive that players often save up their packs from Divisions Rivals, FUT Champions, and Squad Battles for weeks in advance in the hopes of unpacking one.
EA Sports also adds a twelfth man into the mix in the second week of the promotion, which is determined by fan vote. Last year, this went to Cristiano Ronaldo. These are also supported by Honourable Mentions – players that didn’t quite make the TOTY cut.
If you want to stock up on packs ahead of FIFA 23 TOTY, then either grind some Squad Battles or Division Rivals and save up your rewards, or complete as many SBCs as you can – our FIFA 23 cheapest players guide will help you do that without breaking the bank.
