FIFA 22 is days away and players are making their decision on what version of the game to buy and whether or not they should purchase the last-gen version of the game or the current-gen one. Players on PS4 are especially keen to know how they can get their PS5 upgrade for FIFA 22, as this year’s entry works a little differently from FIFA 21.

FIFA 21 offered players a free upgrade through EA‘s Dual Entitlement program, which allowed players on PS4 to get the game on PS5 until the release of this year’s game.

But, despite a host of new enticing features like a refresh of FIFA 22 Division Rivals and the next-gen only FIFA 22 HyperMotion feature, you won’t get the same Dual Entitlement offer this year if you purchase some specific editions of the game. So to help you make your decision, here’s everything we know about Dual Entitlement process, including the FIFA 22 PS4 to PS5 upgrade process.

FIFA 22 PS4 TO PS5 UPGRADE

FIFA 22’s PS4 to PS5 upgrade is only available for those who buy the Ultimate Edition of the game digitally.

Therefore, if you purchase the standard edition on PS4 or PS5 physically or digitally, you will not get access to the Dual Entitlement bonus which gives you a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade. This also applies to players on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

While this might be bad news for some, this explains the FIFA 22 PS4 to PS5 upgrade process this year. With FIFA 22 on the horizon, be sure to keep up to date with all the latest news on the game, including the FIFA 22 release date.
