With its bustling open-world and main antagonist played brilliantly by Giancarlo Esposito, Far Cry 6 certainly makes an impression. From the length story to the massive world at your fingertips, there’s a lot to sink your teeth into. So, here’s how long it will take you to beat Far Cry 6, no matter what kind of player you are.

Our Far Cry 6 review noted that Ubisoft had made some meaningful improvements to how it tells its narratives with Far Cry 6, but that the gameplay familiarity hindered it from becoming the best entry in the series. This is important as, when spread across the many, many hours to beat the open-world game, you could find it getting a little stale before the end.

How long is Far Cry 6?

Far Cry 6’s main story will take you about 25 to 30 hours to complete for an average playthrough based on our experience as it comprises dozens of missions spread across three regions of Yara, in addition to the capital.

If you are looking to complete everything in Yara, you can expect to be kept busy for more than 70 hours, with co-op operations and Insurgency missions also ensuring you keep coming back for more loot and weapons.

Evidently, there’s a lot of content in Far Cry 6, though, thankfully, most of it is entirely optional. So, if you’re finding it a little stale or worried it will overstay it’s welcome, then keep that in mind.
