F1 22 release date: an F1 car from F1 22

F1 22 is on the way and it’s safe to say that we can’t wait for lights out at Bahrain. This is the first entry in the Formula One series after EA’s acquisition of developer Codemasters, and fans of the world’s fastest motorsport are looking forward to seeing how this is going to change the game. But, the question remains: when is the F1 22 release date? Keep reading to find out.

EA’s acquisition of Codemasters isn’t the only factor changing this year’s Formula One game either, by the way. The FIA has introduced a number of new regulations and car changes for the 2022-23 season – this includes the re-introduction of wheel winglets, a simplified front wing design, and the ground-effect flooring. The F1 22 release date can’t come soon enough, right?

We don’t know how porpoising is going to affect Codemasters’ new racing game, but we do know drivers are going to have to manage all these new rules and regulations. But, we can worry about that later. Right now, let’s dive into when F1 22 is actually going to come out.

F1 22 release date

At long last, we know when F1 22 is coming out. EA Sports has revealed that EA Sports’ F1 22 is going to release on July 1, 2022.

Just like last years’ Formula One game, F1 22 will come out at roughly the halfway point of the 2022-23 season – and just in time for the Silverstone Grand Prix. So… It’s almost lights out, and we’re almost ready to go.

F1 22 trailers and gameplay

As you might imagine, F1 22 isn’t going to revolutionise the gameplay we’ve seen from Formula One games in the past. However, it is going to take advantage of the next-gen hardware to bring the 2022-23 Formula One roster and all the new cars to life.

Alongside the F1 22 release date announcement, EA Sports shared the following trailer – showcasing flashy visuals of the new car, but little else. Luckily, the first gameplay has been revealed showcasing Miami.
