Escape From Tarkov wipe adds three new bosses that team up to kill you

The latest Escape From Tarkov wipe adds three new terrifying bosses who will randomly roam maps and work together in order to take you down

It’s time for another Escape From Tarkov wipe with Patch 0.12.12.30 giving players a clean slate for the next few months of grinding. As well as the wipe, there’s a whole load of new content too, including a map expansion, new weapons, and three fresh bosses who will literally team up in order to take you down.

As teased earlier this year, Knight, Birdeye, and Big Pipe (you, stop laughing in the back) are the names of the three new big bads coming to Tarkov, but they will behave unlike any boss that’s come before them. This terrifying trio will be the game’s first roaming bosses, and can appear in various locations. On top of this, they will work together and plot to take you down.

According to the Escape From Tarkov patch notes for this wipe update: “Bosses maintain contact with each other and with the other Rogues, however they don’t stick together and instead keep their positioning distances. When an enemy is detected by any of the bosses or Rogues, information on enemy location is transmitted to everyone by radio, and the bosses prepare for battle, taking up tactical positions for engagement.”

Plus, this trio clearly has it in for everybody in Tarkov. No matter what your faction is, these bruisers will attack you. They don’t communicate with any of the other bosses, so are more than happy opening fire on anyone that crosses their paths.

You can encounter either one of Knight, Birdeye, or Big Pipe in the Lighthouse, Shorelines, Woods, and Customs areas. There is no set timetable or cadence as to when these bosses will appear in each location, so there’s an element of surprise every time you venture into one of these areas.

On top of the new bosses, this wipe will add several new weapons to Escape From Tarkov, as well as a flare gun, which can be used to summon in air drops.

As with any Tarkov update, there’s also a swathe of improvements, bug fixes, and animation updates, which you can check out in the full Escape From Tarkov patch notes here.
