FromSoftware is adding a lot of new twists to their game-design formula with Elden Ring. One of them is crafting, which allows you to create new items and bolster your inventory as you find materials throughout The Lands Between. However, like a lot of other features in Soulslike games, crafting isn’t available to you right from the get-go.
Within Elden Ring, crafting fundamentally changes how you can approach fights, with more tools at your disposal and the ability to be more flexible. These items range from consumables to weapon-enhancing buffs like elemental Grease. Unlocking crafting also ensures you are not just relying on melee attacks or spells, the latter of which is a limited resource based on your FP.
Having spent a few hours with Elden Ring we have figured out exactly how to unlock crafting. Read on for the Elden Ring crafting kit location, so you can expand your arsenal.
Elden Ring How To Unlock Crafting
To unlock crafting in Elden Ring, you will need to purchase the Crafting Kit from Merchant Kalé who is located at the Church of Elleh in Limgrave.
The Crafting Kit costs 50 runes and should be able to be purchased after killing just one or two enemies in The Lands Between.
Once you have the Crafting Kit, the option will unlock in your menu and you can begin combining crafting materials together to create new items.
That covers how to unlock crafting in Elden Ring. If you want to find more items during the early moments of the game, why not look for Elden Ring’s horse, which will let you traverse through The Lands Between at speed.
