FromSoftware’s Souls games are notorious for fighting your way through hordes of otherworldly ne’er-do-wells. And as you hack and slash enemies down, you always gain Runes and crafting materials, and Elden Ring is no different.
To tackle those hardier bosses and enemies, you need to upgrade your equipment, as you won’t get far past Limgrave without some extra power. To upgrade your equipment, you’ll need to find a blacksmith. Once there, you can also equip Ashes of War, duplicate them and more.
To find the blacksmith’s location in Elden Ring, it isn’t as straightforward as you might think. And, it is a lot more obscure than in previous FromSoftware games. In true Dark Souls-style, the game expects you to remain in the dark until you stumble upon things or you find a guide online. To help you, we’ve laid out how you can find the blacksmith and begin upgrading your weapons.
Elden Ring Blacksmith Location
The blacksmith can be found in Roundtable Hold. You will first have to gain access to Roundtable Hold, which can be done by resting at one of two Sites of Grace: Stormveil Castle Main Gate and Lake-Facing Cliffs. Both of these can be found at the tail end of Stormhill.
You can read our in-depth guide about how to unlock Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring, which in turn will give you access to the blacksmith who will be waiting for you there.
While you wait to get access to Roundtable Hold you can also upgrade your weapon at the Church of Elleh in Limgrave.
That’s the end of this short guide on Elden Ring’s blacksmith location, but you can check out our Elden Ring walkthrough for tips, guides, and more to get more help as you make your way through the unforgiving world of the Lands Between.
